Pre-release

Terms

Plain-language interim terms for this website, Denframe pilot and beta downloads and what you submit to the Denframe Library.

Website information

Platform descriptions and release plans may change while Denframe is in development. A page marked planned or in development is not a promise of availability on a particular date.

Software and licenses

Denframe pilot and beta downloads are provided under the Denframe Pilot Evaluation License unless a release says otherwise. You may install and evaluate them on devices you own or are authorized to manage. Third-party components remain subject to their respective licenses and notices.

Submitting to the Denframe Library

These apply to a look, block, layout or activity you offer through Submit an asset, a GitHub issue or a pull request.

The licence you give

You license the asset under the licence you choose — MIT, CC0-1.0 or CC-BY-4.0 — so anyone may use it on those terms. You also let the Denframe project host it, redistribute it to Denframe households, sign it, draw and show previews of it, describe it, and withdraw it at any time, including after it is listed. This permission is free, worldwide, and continues for copies already given out.

What you promise

  • You have the rights to every part of it: its words, pictures, sounds and settings.
  • You credit every third party whose work is in it, with their licence and source.
  • You say which words, pictures or sounds were made or changed with AI tools.
  • It holds no household data, credentials, private paths or network addresses.

What isn't accepted

Nothing unlawful, hateful, sexual or violent, and nothing that collects data — no tracking and no asking the people who see it for personal information. Nothing that passes as Denframe or as someone else: the denframe/ handle is Denframe's own.

Activities for children

An activity meant for children follows the audience rules: say who it is for and the ages it suits; keep it suitable for them; and include no advertising, purchases, outside links or requests for personal information. A person checks its words and sounds before it is approved.

Your GitHub account

Submissions are made from a GitHub account, so you must meet GitHub's minimum age and follow GitHub's terms. You are responsible for what you post; it is public.

What “reviewed by Denframe” means

An accepted item is listed as “By you · reviewed by Denframe”. That means it was checked against the published review criteria, as carefully as we can — best effort, not an endorsement or a guarantee. Assets come from their authors as they are.

Takedown and concerns

If an asset uses your work without permission, or exposes private information, tell us: privately through GitHub's private vulnerability report (opens in a new tab) for anything sensitive, or with the public Takedown request form (opens in a new tab). No personal email address is published for this. We withdraw an asset when a report holds up.

Names and platforms

Android, Apple, Arduino, Google Play, Home Assistant, macOS, Windows, and Linux names belong to their respective owners. References describe intended compatibility and do not imply endorsement.
