Keep track of deliveries
Keep a list of the packages on their way, so the screen says what is due today and what is late.
A Packages block listing what is due today or overdue, and anything delayed, by carrier and description.
- Denframe installed and running: see Install on macOS, Windows or Home Assistant.
- A dashboard to show it on: create your first dashboard.
Follow these steps in your own Denframe. This website never connects to your household, your accounts or your devices, and never asks for your credentials.
Add a tracker
In Studio, open Sources, then Packages, and choose Add a tracker. Give it a Name, tick the dashboards under Show on and choose Add tracker. The tracker starts empty; packages are added on its page.
Denframe doesn’t connect to carriers: each one needs its own account and terms, so the household enters packages itself, like a note by the door. The tracking number is kept on the tracker’s page for you, and never sent to a screen.
Add a package
On the tracker’s page, choose + Add package (up to 20). In New package, fill in the Carrier, a Description, the Tracking number (optional) and the Expected date, choose its Status and Save.
Update it as it moves
Each package is a row with its status. Open it to change the Status: In transit, Out for delivery, Delivered, Delayed or Exception (which the screen shows as “Needs attention”).
Status On the screen In transit, Out for delivery From its expected date Delayed, Exception Always Delivered No longer shown Set the time zone and hours
Time zone is the zone the expected dates and hours are read in; it starts as the zone of the device you added the tracker on. Only show during certain hours keeps the block off the screen outside those hours, packages or not.
Check it worked
The block lists the packages due today or overdue and anything delayed: each description with its carrier and status where there is room, dropping the carrier first and then the status when there isn’t. The smallest size shows only how many deliveries are due. Mark one Delivered and it leaves the screen.
If it doesn’t work
A package isn’t on the screen
In transit and out-for-delivery packages show from their expected date, and delivered ones not at all. Check its date and status.
The whole block is missing
Check Only show during certain hours on the tracker’s page.
A package shows a day early or late
Check the tracker’s Time zone.
A package is marked Unrecognised
It was saved by a newer Denframe. It is kept as it is and can be removed.
